Cars – Described as ‘Diamond on Wheels’, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita built by the Swedish boutique manufacturer was sold for $4.8 Million in August, 2015! The company originally planned to produce three copies of this car, but the process for manufacturing the white carbon fibre proved to be so difficult that the production got limited to just two. The Trevita features a double carbon rear wing and a 4.8-litre V8 under the hood, pumping out 1,018 horsepower and 796 lb.-ft. of torque. It can hit 100 km/h from a standstill in a scant 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 410 km/h.
Watch – The most expensive watch in the world is Breguet Grande Complication Marie-Antoinette priced at $30.000.000! The watch was commissioned by a an alleged lover of Marie Antoinette, the French queen which interestingly became one of the reasons for the exorbitant price. Work on the watch began in 1782 by Abraham-Louis Breguet and was finished in 1827 by his son, 4 years after his death. The result, an amazing piece of design, class and technology containing every function that was possible at that time.
Bag – In the first week of June 2016, a Birkin bag broke records and became the most expensive handbag in the world. The rare Himalayan crocodile Birkin with white gold detailing and 245 diamonds was bought for $300,168 by an anonymous buyer at a Christie’s auction in Hong Kong. Dress – Nightingale is the most expensive dress in the world till today with an estimated price of $30 million. Designed by Faiyzali Abdullah it is studded with pear shaped diamond and Swarovski crystals. Made with different materials of taffeta, chiffon, silk and satin, the dress was showcased for the first time in 2009 at “Stylo Fashion Grand Prix KL” festival. It created a sensation in red burgundy color and 6m long train studded with 750 pieces of diamonds and Swarovski crystals while a spectacular 70 carat tear drop diamond from international jeweler, Mouawad sparkles the gowns’ left bustier.
House – Antilla is the home of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, valued at a whopping $1 billion the home in South Mumbai needs a staff of 600 to maintain the residence! The world’s most expensive residential property can be clearly distinguished in the Mumbai skyline due to its unique design. Definitely some house for the richest. Impressed yet?
Footwear – The Ruby slippers were designed especially for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the film the Wizard of Oz that was released in 1989 and the value of these shoes was estimated to be $3 million. It was showcased by the House of Harry Winston and is studded with a bunch of precious rubies and diamonds to complete its look. Although not stylish these shoes are definitely a luxurious and make an expensive pair.
Yacht – The Streets of Monaco is a project by Yacht Island Design. It doesn’t exist as yet and is set to be unveiled in 2017, but it is already the most sought after yacht! This 500 ft long, one of a kind, about $1 billion yacht, recreates the well-known city of Monaco and scales it down to a smaller replica. The most notable buildings such as the Monte Carlo Casino, the Monte Carlo Grand Prix track and Hotel de Paris, will be there. The yacht will accommodate 16 lucky guests who will be granted with a suite that has its own reception room, dressing room, bedroom, bathroom and of course, a balcony.
